Entering its 16th year, historically this popular event increased cultural tourism on the East End on both the North and South Forks during the winter months and provided 15,000+ attendees with exceptional music performances in winery tasting rooms, hotels, and restaurants.

In 2006, Long Island Winterfest® was conceived on the North Fork, in the Vineyards, as Jazz on the Vine. When audiences were looking for more diverse music choices it became Live on the Vine, and eventually expanded into the breweries and has become a broader broad arts and cultural celebration of the unique experiences in each town and region.

As a trailblazing project that crossed disciplines to include arts, tourism and agriculture Long Island Winterfest® was awarded the 2012 Arts Destination Marketing Award by Destination Marketing Association International and Americans for the Arts.

Leveraging the method for success on the East End, Long Island Winterfest®  is expanding throughout the Island for 2021 to leverage the brand and public visibility.  We are excited to welcome new towns to create their own Winterfest experiences to attract new visitors and for locals as well.

With our current partnerships with regional tourism agencies and local tourism organizations, as well as the participating businesses, our digital marketing reach has been estimated near 5 million impressions. The Long Island Winterfest® website receives over 25,000 unique visitors each month during Winterfest, with several thousand visitors in the weeks and months prior and after as a resource.

While traditionally rooted in live music and social experiences, which the pandemic has clearly limited, we have decided to continue the marketing efforts for 2021 to keep supporting the communities and businesses who need it the most.  We need visitors to know we are here, what they can do and to remember to come back to see us when the pandemic is over, and they can enjoy so much more.
